MIS Sync needs an additional user creating within SQL to read data from the SIMS database.
This is done from within SQL Server Management Studio.

Expand the Security section, right clicking Logins, and clicking New Login...

Create a new user with a meaningful name, give it a complex password and document it. This is essential for data protection.
Uncheck Enforce password policy.

Under User Mapping, tick the Map check box next to your SIMS database name, and assign db_datareader rights. Press OK.
